5 years in the making.
This project started with the 2020 portal and a song called Cheddar Chaser sent to me by staten islands Squeegie O. After the producer Blaq Knight heard the record, he hit me up directly wanting to work together. He sent me a pack of records that would take me on a metaphysical trip. I also during that time reconnected with an old producer friend from Tallahassee's Vintage Tux (7even Chakra). He sent me some records and I was floating on a frequency, wrote, recorded and mixed them in supernatural speed.
I'll tell more of this story later but after experiencing homelessness for the third time in my life as a autistic creative and autism mom, I came to a revelation sitting on some of these very songs. The world needs understanding, healing, love, depth and empathy. And I needed better boundaries, lol. This project is the RED, BLACK and the GREEN for the liberation of our people is liberation to everyone. Systematic oppression, poisonous food and content has made existing painful over and over again. Here's to all of the frequency I've experienced in between it all as a black female creative in the south.
This project is dedicated to my two sons Jeshuah and Shemuel who taught me more as a mother than the world has ever taught me. Because autism has affected the lives of me and my family as well as 1/36 children according to the CDC, proceeds from each project goes to supporting a non-profit close to my heart: Calm Bomb Collective a non-profit record label that supports autistic, neurodivergent, disabled artists and caregivers.
