Embracing the Waxing Crescent: A Cosmic Catalyst for Beginnings

Waxing Crescent Artistic Moon (Artwork)

Hello beautiful souls, weirdos and southern folks, I hope your Monday is starting well. It’s Sunday while I’m wring this and I realized how much energy I had to put towards planning, rebuilding, ideation and creation over the past few days. I haven’t been following the moon, just flowing with things as they are but I woke up to feeling the pull, it’s like answering a call. When there is an extra reminder or push, it’s helpful on my journey to the right balance.

I’ve just come out of a season that required a lot of rest (my rest might be still doing 4/5 things) but our lives might just be a little different, lol. Anywho, I wanted to talk about what I experienced with the moon's energy yesterday. I got up early, felt the call to action, put my youngest in the shower, gave him his treatment (since he wasn’t feeling the best). Once I got him some breakfast and showed my oldest sleepy head some love, I fixed me something light and decided to take a walk to the café closest to me and dig into some work. Oh, this is where I give you the playlist for the week. I've been in this Deep House, Soul, Nu Disco bag and this DJ LesInFocus is not only a DJ, he's a model too; seems like my type of guy. All of his mixes I've come across are smooth, the aesthetic in is visuals are calming and I just seem to lock in with his mixes behind my thoughts and actions. A great mix to walk, clean, cook or strategize to. This mix is called The Soul of House | Deep & Jazzy Groves.

Now that I've shared this weeks "music to cook to", lets get back to this moon and how it affected my day. I’ve been working on pushing my physical health as well as my mental health to be the best version of myself however, I hadn’t walked that type of a distance in a while. I got to the café and I felt so accomplished. I even took a trip to the co-op and brought a few veggies home. afterwards. These are tasks I've been working towards in my mind the past 6 months when I was able to slow down a little and ask myself what I wanted (as a full scope).

After I completed my day, I stepped outside, looked into the sky and noticed a delicate sliver of light emerged from the dark evening sky. I couldn't help but realize the moon being an example of growth and manifestation. This lunar phase, typically observed a few days after the new moon, holds a unique influence on the mind, body, and spirit, offering a cosmic canvas for new beginnings and again I found myself being right on track. Here is a reminder or information on how the Waxing Crescent works with our mind, body and spirit, below.

Mind:

Go pick back up the things you wrote down the past few weeks that you may have put down for numerous reasons. This is the perfect time to revamp or complete those plans since The Waxing Crescent Moon is associated with a surge in mental clarity and focus. As the moon's illumination gradually increases, it inspires a sense of purpose and direction. Use this time to set clear intentions, outline goals, and plan for the future. The heightened mental energy during this phase can be harnessed to make decisions and embark on ventures that align with your aspirations.

Body:

Many believe that the Waxing Crescent Moon phase correlates with increased vitality and physical energy. Engaging in activities that promote well-being, such as exercise or a balanced diet, can be especially beneficial during this time. The body's responsiveness to positive habits appears to be heightened, making it an opportune period to kickstart health and fitness routines.

Spirit:

On a spiritual level, the Waxing Crescent Moon invites introspection and self-discovery. The subtle illumination encourages a connection with one's inner self, fostering a sense of renewal and awakening. Consider incorporating mindfulness practices, meditation, or journaling to explore your inner landscape and align your spirit with the natural rhythms of the lunar cycle.

I think of the Waxing Crescent Moon phase as a celestial catalyst for fresh starts. Embrace the gentle glow of this lunar sliver as a guiding light for your mind, a source of energy for your body, and a nurturing force for your spirit. Let the Waxing Crescent be a reminder that every small step forward is a crucial part of the cosmic dance of growth and renewal. If I can, so can you!

Here is a reminder to meditate 🧘🏽 if you haven’t or want to later; click the video, like, save and or subscribe so you can catch it later. I’ve heard it’s calming to others as it was to me when I created it.
